Sustainable shipping materials

Truly sustainable shipping materials are uncommon. After extensive research, we can finally feel better about using more sustainable options. For example, we use:

  • Custom FSC-certified cardboard boxes made with 100% recycled content, including 95% post-consumer waste to support circularity;
  • Water-activated paper tape that recycles easily, unlike plastic tape;
  • Recycled and curbside-recyclable padding and insulation materials when needed;
  • 100% recycled and recyclable shipping labels, including the release liner from which we peel the labels.

We also use USPS- and FedEx-branded boxes as an option to reduce shipping costs in some scenarios without losing sight of sustainability. Their packaging isn't perfect, but they're moving in the right direction. Learn more about our shipping carriers' sustainability efforts:
